Grooming:

Make sure that the bath water is warm. Hot water will burn, cold water will give the dog a negative experience and may make future baths a lot more stressful and difficult. As with most breeds of dogs, start at the top ofthe neck and work towards the tail. Be careful not to get water in the dogs ears, and when the suitably wet, shampoo him all over with a specially designed dog/ puppy shampoo.

DO NOT USE HUMAN SHAMPOO IT WILL CAUSE ALLERGIES AND SKIN IRRITATIONS.

Some dogs love to have a really good scrub, while the others prefer softer touvh. If your frenchie is a scratch king, aplly some shampoo to a soft brush and wash him with that. For those sensetive dogs, just use your hands.

Wheteher using a brush or your hands, pay particular attention to the dogs armpits. undercarriage and genital area. These are all areas that collected dirt and grime, and are often over-looked during the bathing process.

Using the water that was originally used to wet the dog down at the start of the bath, rinse off as much shampoo as possible.

When most of the shampoo is out of the dogs coat, change to fresh and clean water for the final rinse off.Remove the dog from the bath and towel dry him.
